With less than 50 weeks to go before the global IMO2020 sulphur cap begins, developments in bunkering and the availability of the new fuels are beginning to be announced. Over the next few months the pressure on ship owners and operators will increase depending on the solutions they have decided on to comply with the cap. There is still confusion in the industry and even those supposedly in the know sometimes forget that there will be more to life than the obvious solutions.
